           Science can be taken as a boon for the mankind. With the advertisement of science and technology, human beings have been able to conquer the nature and time many of it's phenomena in order to fulfill their ambitious needs. Their life has been comfortable and prolonged. It is not hard to imagine hoe to badly we would suffer in the absence of electricity, radio, TV, vehicles, telephone and other equipment of daily use, that are gifted by science and technology.

Computers have become inseparable from our day to day life. Besides office works, most industrial and agricultural works have been computerized. Students can learn many things from laptop computers, that are unbelievably small enough to be carried in hand bags. Now tablet PC's are gaining wide popularity. Internet has given undreamed access to learners. Nepalese students can sit for exams conducted from abroad by foreign boards, through e-mail. E-shopping has enabled us to receive goods at our doorstep on call. Speaking computers have been designed for blind people.

Using computer internet, patients in Nepal can get specialist help from throughout the world .when diagnosis is underway or operating is going on ,the situations and developments can be shown to more skilled and experienced specialist in  other countries and their suggestions can be utilized . many  diseases such as polio, measles and smallpox have been eradicated through vaccination . major surgical operation to mend or replace very sensitive parts or organs in the heart and brain have been possible . technologies have been developed to detect and remove stones from various organs of the body through endoscopic surgery or keyhole surgery , without undertaking surgical operations .                                                                                                                                                                              Telephones are also providing    miraculous   service in the modern time.cell phones are allowing  video calls as well .people in remote parts are watching TV by installing solar panels on their roofs .incidents in every corner can be broadcast   live throughout the world .there are thousands of satellites in the earth orbit.several of these are communication satellites ,used for telephone communication and the transmission of digital data and  television image .weather satellites regularly take earth's photo and send data to weather stations which then forecast weather around   the world .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Genetic engineering has revolutionized agriculture . better species of crops and cattle have been developed through tissue culture and hybrid technology. Agriculture has been extensively mechanized. Irrigational pumps have also proved to be boon for agriculture in dry regions. Bio-gas plants are used to cook food, heat room and light bulbs. Large ships with millions of tons of cargoes can travel a distance of thousands of miles away. Space tourism is likely to become more accessible even for ordinary people in near future.
